Challenge
Designing a cooking and meal-planning experience often runs into the same friction points: users don’t know what to cook, get overwhelmed by choices, and find it tedious to plan meals or create shopping lists. Traditional apps rely heavily on manual input, navigation through menus, and constant screen interaction—making the process feel time-consuming rather than helpful, especially when users are busy or already in the kitchen.
Approach
This concept tackles those issues by shifting the interaction model from manual navigation to natural, intuitive inputs. Voice commands become the primary way to explore recipes, request alternatives, and generate meal plans or shopping lists—reducing effort and decision fatigue. Gesture-based interactions, like tilting the device, enable a seamless transition into a focused cooking mode, while pressure-based inputs allow quick edits without breaking the flow. The system proactively assists users by suggesting meal plans and adapting to preferences in real time, creating a more responsive and personalised experience.
